With profound humility, I thank God Almighty and express my deep gratitude to our Founder Patron, the late Smt. Durgabai Deshmukh, for her vision and powerful sense of mission, which have guided us in our march towards excellence and in our striving to create a humane world. My heartfelt thanks go to our past and present DDMS (AMS) leadership team, principals, teachers, administrative staff, alumni, and well-wishers. Their unwavering dedication has shaped our institution into a beacon of excellence in teacher education and helped us achieve NAAC accreditation. I am equally grateful to Osmania University, our affiliating institution, and its Department of Education for their steadfast support in all academic endeavours and college activities. I am proud to represent the hardworking faculty and staff of our college, whose dedication and spirit shape our community. I am committed to building a culture of mutual respect as we work towards our common goals. I am truly grateful for the trust placed in me to lead our college towards its vision.
Our college aims to offer an education that helps women teacher trainees excel academically, gain self-confidence and self-respect, grow spiritually, uphold strong values, take on civic duties, develop leadership skills, build character, and grow as individuals. Our mission is to provide a high-quality, well-rounded education focused on life, vocation, and career. We strive to create an environment that fosters academic excellence, openness to learning, research, and professional growth, all with the goal of empowering women and making a positive impact on society. The institution upholds a longstanding tradition of instilling moral and human values in student teachers. The college’s mission focuses on three core areas: academic excellence, spiritual vitality, and social concern. As the oldest institution of higher learning, the college has made significant contributions to socio-economic development and has consistently delivered high-quality teacher education grounded in spiritual values. We encourage our students to be mindful of their social responsibilities and to make ethical choices, treating others with care and kindness. This is possible because we foster a supportive, collaborative environment, both in the classroom and in activities such as sports and co-curricular programmes. I am proud that our students embody these values from our vision of excellence, demonstrating compassion and sensitivity towards their peers and the wider world.
With deep respect and gratitude, I acknowledge the support of the AMS -DDMS Trust Board, the Leadership Team at the Central Office of DDMS, Andhra Mahila Sabha, our college stakeholders, faculty members, administrative staff, parents, retired principals and staff, alumnae, students, and all other well-wishers, who have helped us uphold our institution’s values, advance quality education, and empower women students in society, promoting a civilisation of love and humaneness.
